Project Developers

  • 5+ years of experience developing greenfield energy facilities
  • Effectiveness in building successful relationships with a broad group of stakeholders is the most important skill set for this job
  • Strong presentation skills (written and oral)
  • Engineering degree desirable, or ability to deal with technical issues effectively, and broad exposure to regulatory and permit issues will be extremely helpful
  • Financial and project management experience desirable but ability to prioritize and work under budgetary and schedule constraints most important
  • Willingness to travel 50% percent of time in central US is important

Development Analyst

  • Keen, demonstrated interest in renewable energy
  • Superb oral, presentation and written communication skills
  • Engineering degree desirable, or ability to understand technical issues effectively
  • Demonstrated interest in public policy and/or regulatory issues
  • Excellent quantitative skills
  • Willingness to travel 50% percent of time in central US is important
  • Stellar academic record

Quantitative Analyst

Support analytics on wind integration issues, technical system design and optimization. Other duties as assigned.

  • 0-5+ years experience
  • Keen, demonstrated interest in energy
  • Highly proficient in Excel and a procedural language (preferably Python)
  • Ability to develop original, data-intensive computer programs
  • Engineering or computer science background preferred
  • Power systems experience or wind energy experience a plus
  • Stellar academic record

FINANCIAL AND COMMERCIAL ANALYST

Prepare company and project financial models incorporating cost estimates, wind forecasting, tax analysis, power price projections and other inputs. Prepare presentations for customers and investors. Support transactions. Other duties as assigned.

  • 0-5+ years experience
  • Keen, demonstrated interest in energy
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to prepare financial models
  • Ability to prepare high quality presentations
  • Energy background a plus
  • Stellar academic record

CONTROLLER

Lead financial, regulatory, and management reporting. Oversee tax compliance, treasury, payroll, and insurance. Liase with external auditors and tax preparers. Implement new internal controls and financial reporting system for multiple subsidiaries. Other duties as assigned. One direct report.

  • 8+ years experience
  • CPA required
  • Ability to design internal controls
  • Ability to prepare income statement, cash flow, balance sheet, and footnotes
  • Prior experience implementing accounting systems preferred
  • Prior experience in utility accounting a plus

Regional Outreach Manager – Plains and Eastern Clean Line

  • Superb oral, presentation and written communication skills
  • Strong local experience in coalition building or public advocacy programs
  • Effectiveness in building successful relationships with a broad group of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated interest in public policy and/or regulatory issues
  • Deep familiarity with rural Oklahoma and Arkansas
  • Technical background in transmission or energy policy is helpful but not required
  • Familiar with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

Regional Outreach Manager — Rock Island Clean Line

  • Superb oral, presentation and written communication skills
  • Strong local experience in coalition building or public advocacy programs
  • Effectiveness in building successful relationships with a broad group of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated interest in public policy and/or regulatory issues, including renewable energy
  • Deep familiarity with Iowa, particularly with respect to rural issues; familiarity with northern Illinois is also a plus
  • Helpful but not required: technical background in electric generation or transmission, experience in land acquisition,  and familiarity with energy policy
  • Residence in Iowa (preferred) or northern Illinois
  • Familiar with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

Director – Environmental

Leads, manages, and performs environmental studies, permits and programs.  Responsibilities include: developing National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents and supporting studies; managing due diligence (Phase I/II) environmental site assessments; obtaining environmental approvals, licenses and permits as required; and ensuring the company’s conformance to federal, state and local environmental requirements.

  • Expert in environmental issues and compliance
  • Point of contact for the community and/or governmental agencies
  • Familiarity with and ability to stay current regarding changing regulatory requirements
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
