Clean Line Employees Participate in Transmission Hub Webcasts

Transmission Hub and WIRES joined forces to host Reshaping the Western Grid: Overcoming Key Transmission Issues, a four-part free webcast series.  Topics covered have included compliance with FERC Order No. 1000, planning and cost allocations, advanced technology, renewables integration, permitting, project risk management, and much more.  Clean Line employees Keith Sparks Dave Berry participated in the webcasts.

Keith Sparks, Director of Development for the Centennial West Clean Line, participated in the webcast titled Reshaping the Western Grid: Build it Bigger: The Big Challenges of Big Western Transmission Projects and discussed the major hurdles to getting transmission built in the region and the top things that can be done to jump those hurdles.  Other participants on the panel included Tom Wray, Project Manager, SunZia Southwest Transmission Project, Southwestern Power Group and Chris Jones, Vice President, Duke-American Transmission Company.  To view slides or listen to the audiotape of the presentation, please click here.

Dave Berry, Vice President of Finance and Strategy for Clean Line, presented in the webcast titled: Reshaping the Western Grid: Integrating Wind Power into the Western Grid and discussed various ways to meet renewable portfolio standards in the Western states and what will it take to get wind power integrated into the Western grid.   Lisa Szot, Head of Transmission and Land Management North America, Enel Green Power North America, also presented in this webcast.  To view the webcast, please click here.
