Adhar Johnson manages outreach efforts in Kansas and Missouri for the development of the Grain Belt Express Clean Line, a high voltage direct current transmission line that will deliver up to 3,500 megawatts of the best wind power from western Kansas to Missouri and points farther east. Adhar plans and coordinates the project’s outreach strategy, arranges community events and regularly meets with public officials, leaders of local businesses and NGOs, and other key stakeholders in both Kansas and Missouri. In addition, Adhar develops outreach materials for communicating information about the transmission line project to state and local leaders and landowners.

Prior to joining Clean Line, Adhar built community outreach programs for St. Louis based wind energy developer, Wind Capital Group. In her role as Corporate Communications Manager, she worked on more than 20 projects across the U.S., gaining extensive experience in project development, public affairs, issues management, government relations, grassroots community engagement and media relations. Adhar previously served as a Senior Account Executive at Twist, a public relations, branding, web and marketing agency. Adhar holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Missouri and is pursuing a Master’s degree in International Affairs from Washington University in St. Louis. Adhar lives in St. Louis, Missouri. Adhar participates in Big Brothers Big Sisters and Habitat for Humanity. In addition, she volunteers with a St. Louis pediatric hospice through the WINGS program.
