Ally Smith serves as a Development Analyst on the Grain Belt Express Clean Line, a high voltage direct current transmission line that will deliver up to 3,500 megawatts of the best wind power from western Kansas to communities in southeastern Missouri and points farther east. In this role, Ally supports efforts across all aspects of project development, including community outreach, public relations, routing and permitting.

Prior to joining Clean Line, Ally worked as the Deputy Press Secretary on Bill White’s bid for Texas Governor. She led the media outreach strategy in each of Texas’ 20 media markets and executed policy announcements. Ally graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy Studies.
