Barry Huddleston serves as the Regulatory Affairs Director. In this role, Barry is involved in the regulatory affairs of all four of Clean Line's transmission projects. He also analyzes legislation impacting strategic planning and permitting processes for each project. In addition, Barry works to keep Clean Line team members apprised of relevant policy decisions and rulings at state commissions and at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Barry covers developments within multiple regional transmission organizations and transmission planning organizations (MISO, PJM, SPP, WECC, EIPC), with a focus on transmission operations, transmission planning, interconnection queue processes, and the integration of variable energy resources.

Barry brings extensive experience in regulatory affairs and market policy. Following graduate school, Barry began his career at the Florida Public Service Commission, where he served for four years in the division of research, focusing primarily on research projects in the electric industry. In addition, Barry worked in regulatory affairs at Destec Energy, a Dow Chemical Company subsidiary and an early developer of independent power projects around the world. Destec Energy later became Dynegy and Barry progressed through a series of positions within the Regulatory Affairs Group, eventually leading a team of market professionals across North America representing Dynegy's interests before regional transmission organizations and regulatory agencies; and heading Dynegy's Federal Regulatory Policy efforts. During his career, Barry served on the Steering Committee for Desert STAR. He has served as chair of the committee developing the Mountain West ISA and as a member of the ERCOT Board of Directors, representing the Independent Generator segment. Barry was also elected to serve on the Midwest ISO Advisory Committee, representing the supplier sector.

Barry received his Bachelor's degree from Ohio State University, majoring in Economics. He holds a Master of Science in Economics from Florida State University. Barry is currently a photography and digital media post-baccalaureate student in the School of Art at the University of Houston.
