Development Analyst
Claire Richard serves as a Development Analyst on the Plains & Eastern Clean Line, a high voltage direct current transmission line that will connect clean wind power produced in western Oklahoma, southwest Kansas, and the Texas Panhandle to consumers in eastern markets. In this role, Claire supports efforts across all aspects of project development, including route planning, regulatory procedures, public outreach, and public relations for the Plains & Eastern Clean Line. Claire also works to manage relationships with key stakeholders and community officials in the states involved in the development of the transmission project.
Prior to joining Clean Line, Claire worked with the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma where she developed Project Falvmmichi, a domestic violence prevention program. Project Falvmmichi addresses domestic violence in elementary school classrooms through messages presented by high school mentors and is now in the 10 ½ counties that make up the Choctaw Nation in southeastern Oklahoma. Claire graduated from Harvard with a Bachelor of Arts in History. She currently sits on the Board of Circle of Women, an organization which builds schools for girls in developing countries.
