Deral Danis is responsible for market and transmission analyses that are critical to the development of all four of Clean Line’s transmission line projects. Deral works with both regional transmission organizations (RTOs) and utilities to manage the interconnection efforts of the company’s projects. Deral models reliability impacts to assess how existing and planned transmission projects will impact the electric grid and to ensure that Clean Line’s transmission projects will interconnect in a manner that maximizes benefit to the grid.

Deral brings a unique combination of both engineering and market expertise to his role at Clean Line. Prior to joining Clean Line, Deral was a Manager at Constellation Energy Commodities Group, where he analyzed deliverability and transmission strategy for both new business and real-time operations for Constellations’s portfolios in the southeastern United States. Deral worked as a Shift Operations Engineer at Southwest Power Pool (SPP), where he provided real-time and offline transmission analysis to assist reliability coordinators and market operators in their daily planning and decision-making. Deral assisted in the testing and design of the congestion management process for SPP’s Energy Imbalance Service (EIS) market. Deral holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology from Purdue University and a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Kansas State University.
