Max Shilstone leads the outreach efforts for the Plains & Eastern Clean Line. In his role, Max works to promote the development of the transmission project by engaging with community officials, business leaders, landowners, and other stakeholders in the project area. Max is also involved with the government relations efforts for the Plains & Eastern Clean Line at the local, state and federal levels.

Max began his energy development career with PanEnergy, which later became Duke Energy North America.   During this period, he successfully developed a greenfield 570 MW gas-fired combined-cycle project that interconnected to the Palo Verde Nuclear generating station and served the western grid. Max also worked for Stewart & Stevenson Services, a diesel/gas turbine OEM, where he successfully managed and marketed large generation projects both in the United States and overseas.

Max holds a Bachelor’s degree in management from The University of Texas in Austin and an MBA in Finance from the University of Saint Thomas in Houston, Texas. He supports the Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston and is actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America as a Den Leader.
